What is the principle of the machine in the straight stroke actuator?
In the gear stage, the speed of the engine can be transmitted to the output rod through two sets of gears. The main reducer is completed by planetary gear and the auxiliary reducer is realized by worm gear. It is fixed in the center by a set of tight springs. In the case of overload, that is, when the output rod exceeds the set torque of the spring, the central worm gear will have axial displacement, fine tune the switch and signal device to provide protection for the system. The output rod is coupled to the worm gear when the engine is working, and to the handwheel when it is operated manually. When the engine is not working, the motor drive can be easily disconnected, and the handwheel can be connected by pressing the control lever. Since the motor drive takes precedence over manual operation, when the engine starts again, it will automatically reverse. In this way, the handwheel can be avoided when the engine is running, which is beneficial to the protection system.
Since the handwheel is directly coupled with the output rod, it can ensure the normal manual operation of the valve in case of internal gear failure or damage.
The switch and signal device mounted on the gear is a sealed enclosure to protect its internal components and realize the following functions:
L local or remote indication of valve position
Overload protection of actuator / valve
Limit valve travel range
L electrical interface
The installation of actuators on different types of valves is accomplished by means of output rods, which can be applied to various existing stem configurations.
